Pass.Ng Voted Winner In The Pitchfest Presentation At The State Of Education In Africa Conference
Pass.ng, a mobile/ online learning platform for computer-based examination preparation was voted winner in the Pitchfest Presentation at the State of Education in Africa Conference, held in Lagos. Pitchfest competition recognises the best education solution being provided by social entrepreneurs in Nigeria after a pitching exercise.
The event organisers, the Africa-America Institute represented by its President/CEO, Amini Kajunju presented Pass.ng with a cheque of $1500. While expressing his delight, Samson Abioye, CEO, Pass.ng says he its an opportunity to work harder, expand their company’s frontiers in terms of reducing examination failure rate and then give back to the society to encourage academic excellence.
In his words, “This price money will help us in organising, Pass.ng’s Excellence Award geared towards recognising the best student in the 2015 Unified Matriculations Tertiary Examination (UMTE) organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Examination Board (JAMB) in the next few weeks.”
Meanwhile, the runner-ups also won consolatory price money for their efforts. The first runner-up, Afrotales – a Mobile App that provides fun learning to children while reading about African folktales won prize money of $1000.
Also, Mayein- a mobile library and outdoor reading hub for underprivileged children in rural areas won prize money of $500 as the second runner-up.
The third runner-up, Beautiful Art Entertainment won a consolatory $250 for her idea (Quality Edutainment) to provide an online radio platform for fun learning of good morals through an audio drama series for children.
